SONG NOTES

Andalucian Dance is a banjo instrumental written by Bob Gibson. This song, and Bob’s performance of it, won him a spot on the Arther Godfrey Talent show in 1957. He became a frequent performer on the enormously popular Arther Godfrey TV and Radio Show.

Bob later admitted he wrote that song because he was often asked to play Eddie Peabody’s plectrum-style banjo hit song Lady Of Spain, I Adore You. He didn’t want anybody to think “any old Eddie Playbody could pee better then he could.”
