But if the old brown hound made a noise like that
I think the noise would scare the cats
So let’s make a sound that sounds like a hound
Chasin’ the pussycats all around

Now for the part about the old red hen
Who talked to her little chicks now and then
With the rooster crowin’ again and again

Cheep like a chick, squawk like a hen
Crow like a rooster again and again

Now for the part to make your heart beat quicken
It’s the sound of the hound and the cats and the kitten
All runnin’ together and scarin’ the dickens
